IDBZ - Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe

In recent years, IDBZ engaged in a massive drive to provide accommodation facilities to students in state universities and to the general public in various locations across Zimbabwe. OCMQS was privileged to be appointed by IDBZ to provide Quantity Surveying services on some of these prestigious projects which include: Chinhoyi  University Students’ accommodation National University of Science and Technology-Bulawayo Bindura University

National Building Society – (NBS)

The local demand for accommodation led to National Social Security Authority (NSSA) creating a National Building Society, OCM was commissioned to undertake Glaudina Estate Low Cost Housing project for 288 families valued at US$11.5 million. OCMQS was also commissioned to provide quantity surveying services for the Banking Halls which include: Karigamombe, Chinhoyi, Gweru and refurbishment of the Head Office at SSC Centre.

National AIDS Council – (NAC -)


OCMQS was commissioned to provide Cost Management Services for NAC for the Gweru Regional Offices in the sum of USD 280,000.00 OCMQS was also commissioned to provide Cost Management services to NAC Harare Head Office in the sum of US$2 million. On both commissions OCMQS’s mandate was to prepare budget estimates, tender documentation, evaluation and recommendations, contract cost control and final account settlement.

UBH: Zimbabwe Orthopaedic Trust (ZOT)

OCM Quantity Surveyor’s provided quantity surveying services for the construction of theatre block, ablution block, refurbishment of administration block, adult and children’s wards.

Stanbic Bank

OCMQS has been privileged to be associated with Stanbic Bank which is one of the leading Banking institutions in Zimbabwe.In recent years, Stanbic Bank required a number of its banking halls to be refurbished including construction of new branches. OCMQS was commissioned to provide Cost Management Services for the refurbishment of: Nelson Mandela Branch Harare
Bulawayo Main Street, Beitbridge Branch, Kwekwe Branch. OCMQS was also appointed as Quantity Surveyor for the following Stanbic Bank new branches:
Bradfield Private Banking, Belmont Cash Depot, Hwange Branch, Ngezi Branch, Harare Duthie Rd – Private Banking. Premier Service Medical Aid Services

NMB BANK

NMB Bank commissioned OCMQS to provide Project Management Services and Cost Management Services for the following refurbishments: Kwekwe Branch, Chinhoyi Branch, Joina City Branch. OCMQS was appointed to carry out both pre and post contract administration of all aspects of the design and construction packages.
The projects were safely delivered according to the timelines, budgets and quality required by NMB Bank.

ZITF Netone Pavillion

NETONE a leading telecommunications provider required to redevelop their pavilion at the Trade Fair grounds in Bulawayo. NetOne commissioned OCMQS to provide Cost Management Services for the project worth approximately USD560 000.00. The commission encompassed the provision of pre and post Contract Cost Control Services. The project was delivered within budget.

Econet Herbet Chitepo

ECONET appointed OCMQS as  project  Managers for  the refurbishment of Econet Herbert Chitepo to create a more spacious and ambient environment for its customers. The project was well managed in terms of time, costs and quality was of a high standard. Econet also commissioned OCMQS to provide Quantity Surveying Services for their Msasa refurbishment of the ISS  Department and H R Departments. These projects were also managed to remain within the client’s budgets.

Steward Bank


Steward Bank is one of the traditional clients of OCMQS.
OCMQS provided Quantity Surveying Services on several Steward Bank projects that include: Steward Bank, Fife Street, Bulawayo Steward Bank, Bradfield, Bulawayo Steward Bank Mutare ,Steward Bank Masvingo

POTRAZ

POTRAZ appointed OCMQS to provide Cost Management Services for Ancillary works at their Pomona Farm worth approximately USD450,000.00.
OCMQS prepared tender documentation, evaluated and made recommendations.

PSMAS Bulawayo

The project comprised of installation of new dry wall partitions, glazed partitions, new steel columns and beams, new floor and ceiling finishes, structural support to existing walls and slabs, electrical refurbishments and mechanical refurbishments etc. OCMQS offered the following services Preparation of tender and contract documents, cost controlling services and preparation of final account.

PSMAS Guest House

OCM Quantity Surveyors responsibilities are the preparation of tender documents, cost controlling and cost management services, and final account preparation. The project is still on-going. The project involves the construction of a Double Storey Multi-Purpose Building with Conference, facilities and Accommodation

SMEDCO

Proposed alterations and additions to SMEDCO House in Chinhoyi. OCMQS was appointed to offer Quantity Surveying services for the construction of SEMDCO Chinhoyi Streetbank. The firm’s mandate was to prepare budgetary estimates.

Zimbabwe Woman Microfinance Bank (ZWMB)

This project consisted of refurbishment of existing banking hall. OCMQS was appointed to offer Cost Consultancy Services. Our services comprised of preparation of tender documents, adjudication and contract management.

Apostolic Faith Mission (A.F.M)


AFM Shiloh is a Christian organization. The AFM commissioned OCMQS to provide Quantity Surveying Services for the construction of the Church and Conference centre in Harare which was worth approximately USD 5.5 million. OCMQS’ mandate was to prepare budgetary estimates and prepare material schedules.

Alliance Insurance

Alliance Insurance’s expansion required a bigger Head Office. OCMQS was commissioned to provide all Quantity Surveying Services for the Construction of the Harare Head Office, worth approximately USD5 million. OCMQS’ mandate on the project included the provision of preliminary budgets, tender documentation, evaluations and recommendations, material scheduling and final account settlement.
